Exhausted moms out there, read this article! It was recently published by Inspire More and has attracted the attention of many parents, mothers, and fathers as well as children. It is originally written by mom Bethany Jacobs who describes the life of mothers.
To be a mother is one of the most amazing things in the world although it can be very challenging. From the sweet moments of laughter and reading together to the difficult moments like tantrums, Mom and Dad are there for all of it… and sometimes, it can be really easy to get worn out.
Bethany has three encouraging words for moms who feel they are failing:: “You are enough.”
Check out her powerful post to all exhausted moms below:
I am writing this letter to all exhausted moms in the bathroom, looking for peace for just a moment, as they start crying and tears roll down their cheeks. I just want to tell you that I’ve been there. I get you! You are not alone!
Being a mom can feel so tiring sometimes, and all you want to do is to lay down and get the rest you need. I often found myself sitting in the car, stuffing food in my mouth hiding from everyone.
You often lose your patience too! Your kids can test your temper, and after you’ve yelled at them for even the smallest thing in the world, you feel guilty and unworthy.
Self-confidence levels lower as you try to put on those jeans that once fitted you. You want to look in the mirror and feel good about yourself, but that’s just impossible after you’ve given birth. It feels frustrating, I know.
And sometimes you just don’t want to leave the house because life is just too much to handle at that moment…
I am writing this letter to the mom that is calling out for pizza again because dinner just didn’t happen the way she wanted it to…
To the mom, that feels alone, whether in a room by herself or standing in a crowd…
You are enough.
You are important.
You are worthy.
Remember that all will work out in the end!
Remember that! Remember that all will work out in the end! It’s just a phase in your life! A really crazy, challenging phase, but one of the most beautiful periods too! In the end, it will all be worth it! But for now, it’s hard. And it’s hard for so many of us in many different ways. We don’t always talk about it, but it’s hard and it’s not just you.
You are enough.
You are doing your best.
Just look at those tiny little gorgeous eyes: they think you are perfect! Those little hands that reach out to hold you- they think you are the strongest mom in the whole world. Take a look at those tiny mouths eating eagerly the food you gave them- they think you are the best because their bellies are full! Fell those precious heartbeats- they don’t want anything else, they just want you!
Because you are enough. You are more than enough, mama.
You. Are. Amazing.
